Just made this NoraCooks.com chickpea burger last night. Got to figure out why my burgers did not hold together when I baked them.  No big deal, however, as I just crumbled them all up and my planned burgers turned nicely into a  flavorable protein topping with some brown rice and broccoli. Not in our top ten favorites, but would definitely recommend and cook these again some day.  Click here for the link to the recipe.

Oh and one other tidbit -- I doubled the recipe so had about 30 ounces of chickpeas to mash up with a fork. Whew! It can count as part of your upper body workout for the day because the recipe recommends having no chickpea unmashed and I followed that instruction to a tee by golly.

So I'd add to the recipe that you put on your favorite get-you-moving type music and mash away. You will end up with a good meal (whether burgers or a tasty bowl topping) --  and a bonus and dang decent little workout.

And in case you're wondering,  yes, I ordered a real potato/chickpea masher today.?
